Key

God or Deva Name:

  • Official domain.
  • My thoughts on usability.
  • My rating on the interest scale.

Interest Scale

  • 1-2: Maybe worth a name drop in passing, or we could possibly come up with a small hook that makes people go 'huh that's kinda cool I guess.' Many devas rated this are still worth looking at to get a feel for their patron, though.
  • 3-4: We can probably incorporate these into a plot somewhere, but nothing of real value would be lost if we didn't.
  • 5+: These have strong enough hooks that it's easy to see multiple ideas involving them, any one of these could be recurring NPCs, the higher the better.
  • 10: Seriously, we're using Bright Sanguine Saber.

Also, I think forcing gods/devas all in Hadal kinda runs the normal problem of Yu-Shan where it's too detached from everything else. So some of these ideas touch on concepts that have them out of there some, spoiler.

Gods

Common Gods

Baiji:

  • Dolphin gods who protect the sea and the freedom to relish in it.
  • No interest outside of gods who lost their domain.
  • 1.

Bloody Hands:

  • Murder gods.
  • As we discussed, have some interesting hooks.
  • 5 or 6.

Caravan Gods:

  • What it says on the tin.
  • It's possible a few of these watch the transfer of materials, but I imagine infrastructure is so strong they're unnecessary.
  • 2.

City Gods:

  • What it says on the tin.
  • This is a bit interesting to me. With how Alchemicals work they wouldn't be necessary in cities proper, but they could possibly find work in towns. Chances are it'd involve more elbow grease and less followers than any are used to, though, and many would likely not find it worth the hassle.
  • 4.

Disease Gods:

  • What it says on the tin.
  • Same situation as Bloody Hands.
  • 5 or 6.

Dream Flies:

  • Provide and collect types of dreams.
  • Best used as either flavor (and they could be flavor with the whole dream parlor stuff, that's cool in my opinion) or a short side-story where they choose to antagonize victims and the party gets involved. As I said, they've got some cool stuff, but Gunstar really has enough and if something doesn't readily click with it well no skin off our backs.
  • 3.

Dryads:

  • Gods of individual trees.
  • Same as baiji. SLIGHTLY more interesting in that Nurad has forests, so they could be a sort of endangered species.
  • Maybe 2.

Forest Walkers:

  • Like Dryads, but bigger.
  • Less interesting for it.
  • 1.

Least Gods:

  • Unimportant gods of objects.
  • A few story hooks are there as they are in any campaign but nothing special for Gunstar.
  • 2.

Life Trees:

  • Gods of type of trees.
  • Dicks in Vanilla, but probably same situation as Forest Walkers here.
  • 1.

Lion Dogs:

  • It LOOKS like these guys were explicitly created as guardians of Exalted strongholds after they won, so they probably don't even exist.
  • Alternately, some were created to assist in the war, and aren't terribly happy with how it turned out.
  • 2.

Masks:

  • Now here's a type of common god interesting for Gunstar, created for encouraging and maintaining worship among mortals for the Primordials.
  • Any that defected (and some probably did, being social gods and a Motivation to learn more about mortal culture) have probably been refocused to cultivating it for the Exalted. Their Motivation could lead some even being spread to areas like Gulak or Kamaki kaff houses or floating to any lector performance or festivals, really just anywhere mortal culture thrives.
  • 5 or 6.

Road Gods:

  • What it says on the tin.
  • Same as city gods.
  • 4.

Scarab Guardians:

  • Guardian gods that protect things of great horror.
  • Unlikely to migrate (unless MAYBE something got moved, but again, stronger hooks).
  • 1.

Sirens:

  • Gods created to rein in human populations through violence.
  • EXCESSIVELY unlikely to end up on the Gunstar through defection, though it could lead to an interesting exception. As invaders, they probably wouldn't be any more interesting than tossing First Circle devas or akumas out there.
  • 1.

Unique Gods

Burning Feather:

  • Goddess of intoxicants.
  • Love her design, love her domain, but I feel she doesn't have any immediate hooks in Gunstar, I feel.
  • I'd consider her a 5 or so, if only because I'd love to see what you can do with her, I'm sure you've got some ideas, you intoxicatee.

Grala:

  • Goddess of the hunt.
  • Pretty easy to tie into Gunstar with the Void Hunt – it's also interesting to note that her design currently borrows from birds of prey, but in Autochthonia she could borrow from predator gremlins in her looks even with her domain uncorrupted. In the same vein it's easy to tie her Motivation of getting worship of all hunters to Apostates, and she's shown herself to not be terribly compassionate in forging the previous god of hunt into a whistle.
  • Probably 6 or 7.

Grandmother Bright:

  • Herself maybe a 2, but Grandmother Bright came about when she traded her old domain for the assistance of a solar – the domain of Vengeance and Betrayal, as Bright Sanguine Saber.
  • It's really the perfect domain to have on the Gunstar, I can see her as a female near-Narikon. Hell, she could possibly pine after him too, and compete with Mars. She could even have her own Voidfighter, bonus points if it's forged from gods that have pissed her off. I feel like if we mention only one god, it's her.
  • 10.

Kireeki:

  • Goddess of ocean predators.
  • Best used as 'lost domain' if anything, and that's nothing special.
  • 1.

Madame Marthesine:

  • Goddess of lost things.
  • It's entirely possible she never boarded the Gunstar, staying behind to gather all the things left in their retreat. It's also possible she did after doing some of that, possibly forced aboard because of knowledge of her powers. She probably has access to some things that were created with the full collective might of the Incarnae, but even if she does, she only trades for something of equal value so good luck getting it back. She also has the Motivation to add all things to her domain, so the Gunstar's a good place for that.
  • 6.

The Mammoth Avatar:

  • Really.
  • Much like Kireeki, though really he's more interesting.
  • 2.

The Month Gods:

  • What it says on the tin.
  • If we touch on them, I say at LEAST one of these never made it to the Gunstar. Truth be told none of them are of particular interest to me, but they're not the worst out there.
  • 2, maybe 3. (NOTE: Outside of Seven Fangs these guys don't have listed stats, but I think the only fighting they'd really do is among each other anyway, and mostly sabotage, they're worthless asses)

Rabszolga:

  • God of slaves. As such, he gains power the more slaves there are.
  • He can be tied to the Lumpen a bit, but of course the more interesting angle is him working with the Void, seeing how they have a submission charm and everything.
  • Probably a 3?

Sessen Douji:

  • His domain is kept secret by the Maiden of Secrets. He teaches sutras and such from his mountaintop.
  • Unlikely to end up on the Gunstar unless explicitly following humanity, a semi-decent teacher and we can have some fun coming up with his domain.
  • 3.

Translucent Alabaster:

  • Goddess of porcelain, lover of beauty, it's possible her domain has expanded on the Gunstar, if she made it at all due to her frailty (though if so, she's probably become slightly more durable as her domain expanded).
  • She could be tied to the lectors, but as with all gods, morality is not a concern of hers, meaning Titanics can just as easily draw her attention and favor. She also claimed to be the mother of an artist who is really Demon-Blooded in Vanilla in their defense, which could be kinda fun to translate.
  • 5.

Vanileth:

  • God of artificial flight.
  • Not a lot to do with him in Gunstar, though Yuu is flight-focused!? Eh.
  • 1 or 2.

Verumpira:

  • In Vanilla, the current ambassador to Malfeas.
  • Don't think he really applies.
  • 1.

Zhuzhiao:

  • God of deep trenches who has a kickass arsenal from First Age scrap.
  • Another one who doesn't really applies to Gunstar.
  • 1.

There are two types of 'forbidden' gods mentioned but they suck (literally!), we can come up with better Primordial-aligned gods if we want.

Devas

For reference, this currently only includes souls which have detailed stats. I can easily add the others if you want, but baby steps.(?)

Adorjan

Jacint:

  • Third Circle Soul of Adorjan foremost concerned with roads.
  • Not terribly usable for Gunstar.
  • 1.
  • Gumela:
    • Second Circle Soul of Jacint, a mockery of the Loom of Fate who desires to sees it tangled.
    • He's got a few other cool things going for him, and his threat to the Loom of Fate translates to any setting.
    • 3.
  • Zsofika:
    • Second Circle Soul of Jacint, hunts and kills people while playing drums.
    • And they made her black, racists. Not much of interest, especially for Gunstar.
    • 2.

Cecelyne

Orabilis:

  • Third Circle Soul of Cecelyne, embodying the limits of wisdom.
  • Unlikely to defect (and would likely be a straight-up hindrance if so (though that could be entertaining)), and unlikely to have any real impact on the Titanic side of things, unless it takes exception with things like the Elloge and Fiend learning about the Gunstar, which could be mildly entertaining but they probably have enough internal threats as is (or do they???).
  • 2.
  • Florivet:
    • Second Circle Soul of Orabilis, a more interesting option. He's basically taken on an adventurer persona.
    • I can see him either defecting or popping into the Gunstar for kicks.
    • 3.
  • Gebre:
    • Second Circle Soul of Orabilis, who hints at the will of the Yozis through tales that are at least part lies.
    • Another one that's largely Malfean specific, it's almost like some of these are coming from that book.
    • 1.
  • Lucien:
    • Second Circle Soul of Orabilis, given care to make sure Sacheverell doesn't stir in his sleep. As such, he makes sure lessers never raise up against their betters.
    • All of this ties to Gunstar, but I suspect in a more background way than anything direct.
    • 2.

Ebon Dragon

Akallu:

  • Mentioned in passing as He Who Deceives.
  • I'm ignoring him right now as he's got no stats, and even if we incorporate all known souls that's all that's known.
  • N/A
  • Emerenzia:
    • Second Circle Soul of Akallu. He's in charge of managing misery in Malfeas.
    • So he doesn't even really translate. As an aside that I should probably bold, I feel like with the Primordials free and Autochthon fleeing, Ebon Dragon is probably bottom bitch in the Spiral now. He's not useful because they need not escape from anything, and being most readily associated with betrayal among the Primordials, there are probably those who suspect he had a hand in this failed uprising, and those suspicions are enough to warrant action among Primordials. So I feel like some of his souls may defect solely out of pragmatism (feeding the suspicions in the process).
    • Anyway, this dude himself is probably 1.

Erembour:

  • Third Circle Soul of the Ebon Dragon, she plays a mean horn.
  • Her Motivation is oppose the plans of Ligier and the Unconquered Sun. She could easily defect when they end up on the same side, and as a Third Circle Soul of the Ebon Dragon she would never have trust on the Gunstar. She has some offerings, and still has Intimacies for darkness so she could work with the Fiend. Even if she did never betray, the Souls of the Ebon Dragon ARE the most likely to easily end up on the Gunstar.
  • 7, maybe 8 on interest, I'd say.
  • Alveua:
    • Second Circle Soul of Erembour, Her big selling point is reforging mortals into items.
    • If Erembour defected, it's possible she defected as an aspect, though I think Second Circle Souls are able to act against their creators' wills to an extent, and probably especially so for Ebon Dragon. Regardless, given her selling point, so even if she was on the Gunstar, she'd probably draw ire from the Deliberative and find like-minded individuals in the gremlins even more so than her progenitor.
    • 5 or 6.
  • Malkarios:
    • Second Circle Soul of Erembour, turns people trapped in dreams into items he sells for marking more people trapped in dreams.
    • Probably would have been a bit cooler if he didn't feel like Alveua with dreams. Fits the same stuff though, so oh well.
    • 1 if we used Alveua, same as her if not.
  • Mara:
    • Second Circle Soul of Erembour, teacher of martial arts and lover, also she kills most of those who fail some unknown metric of hers.
    • There is where we run into some trouble with the canon if all of Erembour souls retreated, as Mara is summoned by that Sidereal every year. More importantly than that, I just don't feel Mara sits well along with humanity, for some reason more than any other Erembour soul I feel she's tied to being far away from mortals. She just feels like given the chance she'd wander and eat people far more than the others. I don't know. But getting back on topic, Mara probably comes up, she's a pretty big soul, regardless of the Gunstar hook.
    • 5.

Hegra

Lypothymie:

  • Third Circle Soul of Hegra, who most commonly embodies herself as a feeling of melancholy, and wishes to spread it to all beings.
  • Probably best for pulling to Hegra charms, though similarly the Hegra Titanic could probably spread emotions like epidemics in the same way as Lypothymie.
  • 1.

Isidoros

Ferand:

  • Third Circle Soul of Isidoros, and like all things Isidoros, he is about challenge and overcoming.
  • Again, more just for a read, I feel like even if he got loose in the Gunstar he'd be no more interesting than any other Isidoros thing we'd do.
  • 1.

Kimbery

Madelrada:

  • Third Circle Soul of Kimbery, a master strategist who wishes to wear away all opposition of the Primordials.
  • She could be the most militant of the souls still dedicated to the hunt. As a strategist, I see her as being capable of being a bit more involved, in the sense she could be the background of the Titanics' plans. And considering how she's willing to sacrifice anything to win wars, that might not work out best for the individual Titanics.
  • 4 for that.
  • Iyutha:
    • Second Circle Soul of Madelrada, a dragon seeking to destroy love, beauty, and order.
    • A soul that's fine to throw on there at some point to wreck shit if need be.
    • 3.
  • Sigereth:
    • Second Circle Soul of Madelrada, a box, held by a young hairless man, which plays any game. Like any Madelrada soul, it is a cunning strategist, and like every other demon it is about gambling, encouraging those who have lost it all to stake themselves into her service.
    • As she is, she's unlikely to do much in Gunstar, but the idea of a game master is an interesting one to consider for one of the Titanics associated with a more strategic Primordial, especially biting from Saw.
    • 1.

Malfeas/Theion

Amalion:

  • Third Circle Soul of Malfeas, architect of manses and natural charmer, demanding something beautiful as payment.
  • Not terribly usable in Gunstar, though when she is summoned she appears as a manse so how does that even work in Gunstar???
  • 1.

Ligier:

  • Fetich Soul of Malfeas, a Green Sun and a dancer.
  • Not sure how much we'd actually see of him, but his Motivation of making all people celebrate the glory of the Green Sun probably does motivate the rest of the Primordials, and translate into his Titanic.
  • 3.
  • Berengiere:
    • Second Circle Soul of Ligier, Berengiere's main desire to weaver cloth from voices.
    • Unlikely to come up in any aspect. I can easily see a Second Circle Soul of Ligier coming up as they're more manageable than the thought of fighting Ligier, but she's not a great fit.
    • 1.
  • Gervesin:
    • Second Circle Soul of Ligier, he's pretty much a spear that turns the world to shit around him.
    • Not the most dazzling, but better than Berengiere to bring in to wreck shit.
    • 3.
  • Sondok:
    • Second Circle Soul of Ligier, who desires to protect things entrusted to her care. By default this includes the works of Ligier and his souls, but in Vanilla she's summoned to defend stuff. She also had a child with a Dragon-Blooded who she keeps secret, as Sondok will not die herself until bathed in the blood of her child.
    • That could be transferred to Gunstar with some interest.
    • 3.

Oramus

Bezenet:

  • Third Circle Soul of Oramus, tending a garden of things that grow nowhere else. Obsessed with making all things unique.
  • In Gunstar she's really only good for a read to get a feel for Oramus.
  • 1.

Remondin:

  • An Oramus soul mentioned in passing as seeing possible futures.
  • Passing on for the same reason as that Ebon Dragon soul.
  • N/A
  • Janequin:
    • Second Circle Soul of Remondin. Janequin herself, however, indulges in chaotic possibility, desiring nothing much to live whimsically and recklessly – an act made easier by the improbability she causes around her.
    • She COULD be a defector, and really either way she could be entertaining in a battle, but still not a strong one.
    • 3.

She Who Lives In Her Name

Munaxes:

  • Third Circle Soul of SWLIHN, with a Motivation 'swallow all that betrays hierarchy.'
  • There's no real chance this one defected, though it's possible it is the most motivated soul of SWLIHN to dog the Gunstar, and could POSSIBLY appear itself.
  • 3.
  • Stanewald:
    • Second Circle Soul of Munaxes, a supernatural dancer who hates earth.
    • Her Motivation is simply to find a purpose for her existence, which could easily cause her to defect or attack the Gunstar, or both in either order. Her hatred for earth elemental is genocidal so it seems the lack of them in Gunstar would actually possibly irk her than relieve her, though it's entirely possible she'd just take issue with metal elementals instead.
    • 3.

Szoreny

Kagami:

  • Fetich soul of Szoreny, a city of mirrors who desires to bring uncomfortable revelations to light.
  • Once again, best used to get a feel for Szoreny, though it is possible we could always toss people in there through the Szoreny Titanic charms.
  • 2 for that, I guess.
