Plot
Where we can put up ideas to discuss when the other is napping/classing/being a Corvus. Very rough outline now.
Before the game:
Nature Patron Primordial is at odds with Metagaos. Elivia, takes this out on the poor Nature Titanic and sends her into Nurad as a basic amnesiac.
Vitriolic Purifier of Mankind is created before Yuu is finished, goes rogue around the same time Yuu is assigned to be a security guard?
The Titanics infiltrate the Gunstar.
The two Abyssals crash land/are stranded in the Gunstar.
Probably culminates in: Narikon puts the circle together for hilarity/showing there is a united Exalted front to the mortals of the Gunstar.
Arc 1:
Early:
- Do the party still foremost act as guards of a new city? I like the idea, but we haven't really developed it to any full extent.
- The Void Hunt detects a strange signal emitting from somewhere in the Far Reaches. Unsure of the consequences, they send some shikari out to scout for any incoming troops, while the rest take up defensive positions. A report of Faceless come in, but the Deliberative is too hesitant to move any of the Void Hunt from the Nation lines. The party is close, and sent to wipe it out. Combat is learned.
- The party probably reports into Narikon, who decides to upgrade them to an equivalent branch. Some shikari are less than happy with this outcome, though not violently. Probably some hanging out in Hadal.
- Soon, new gremlins begin ballsy and unorthodox attacks, hitting weak points in the defenses. Worse yet, these seem to leave no bodies behind. Occam's Razor suggests they took prisoners, but it's so unlike them many are refusing to believe it - and if they do, that's even worse.
Middle:
- Vitriolic's motives and methods become more obvious, though no less dangerous.
- The party bounces around the nations (meeting NPCs who probably try to use them one way or another), investigating mid-level assignments while the Void Hunt try to curb any major attacks.
- Of particular note, Vitriolic attacks a Nuradi district causing much destruction in his pursuit of his goal. Jana wanders out and helps fend him off, and if/when the party accepts her help against the destruction he'll realize his pleas are falling on deaf ears on the party.
- Hint of Abyssals might start showing up here, if not then definitely in the next part.
Late:
- Vitriolic and Seven Triumphs capture an Infernal who had chief among them in trying to shut down their operations, and infect them with Gremlin Syndrome. Zirak realizes that if you lose to the Apostates you lose in real life and switches sides.
- Soon the party is given direction to Erlik. There's a huge battle going on every which way in the city as the Void Hunt fights gremlins, Apostates, and the city's built-in defense, but of course the party gets the premium tour of finding the core and destroying the city, as well as shutting down Vitriolic.
- Unsure if Seven Triumphs and Princess Magnificent have either already been defeated or continue into the next arc.
Some stuff that can help: Individual pages for major Abyssals, Apostates, and Gods to get a feel for their various motivations, methods and relationships. Probably need to nail down some more mortal NPCs, LOOKING AT YOU. Hooks that grab your imagination can be written as rumors, a great starting place.
Arc 2
Titanics. Titanics everywhere.
As I've mentioned before, I think shortly after Arc 2 starts Narikon and Raanei discuss consulting the Magnus, which Narikon eventually cedes that they do - but he sends the PC circle in place of Raanei, stripping her of her right to see him as he can't afford to be wrong about her. Raanei gets agitated after this, and more importantly the Bronze faction sees this is the first shot of a civil war, and begin a counter-attack to lower the standing of some Gold faction people. So while there are Titanics, Titanics everywhere, the Deliberative is getting slowly cut down the middle by the internal power struggle, accidentally facilitating the antics of the Titanics. Album name.
Arc 3
Hahahahaha.
Rumors
I'd say if we do do (hehe) rumors at the beginning of every session, we need to make three categories: short term, long term, and flavor, and shuffle them randomly with about equal representation.
Apostates and Gremlins
Abyssals
Titanics
Reli
- Early in Arc 1
- Deliberative member A: "Another strike. This civil unrest could not come up at a worst time..."
- Late in Arc 1
- Deliberative member A: "I can't believe it, another strike.
- Deliberative member B: "Oh wow, is Reli behind it?"
- Deliberative member A: "In the same way life is. That's just a title any schmo can pick up to incite revolution."
- Shortly before meeting Reli
- Deliberative member B: "You really don't think Reli's behind these?"
- Deliberative member A: "I believe Reli incited the riots fifteen years ago. But a mortal can't do that and evade the Void Hunt for fifteen years."
- Deliberative member B: "He could be God-blooded or something. Yo-Ping's child, maybe."
Flavor
Narikon's lovelife
- Whenever
- Deliberative member A: "I met another kid claiming to be Narikon's again, when he fell in love with a member of the Populat."
- Deliberative member B: "Oh yeah? Because I'm sure with his pick of the litter he'd go there. Get real."
- Deliberative member C: "You know, I heard he and Saber slept together once and the passion resulted in the military boom three thousand years ago."
- Deliberative member A: "Well I hear that even though Venus opposes his viewpoint, she bedded him because of his passion, and is addicted to him more than any other."
- Deliberative member B: "You can't believe everything you hear."
- Deliberative member C: "Come on, you don't think he's banged anyone? It's been four thousand years, I wouldn't be surprised if they're thousands of Narikids running around here."
- Deliberative member B: "Maybe. But really, I think this war is his only passion."
Orochi's Styles
- Mid-Plot 1?
- Sidereal A: "He's supposed to know the most martial arts styles of us all, even Ni Zhang, but no one wants to train with him."
- Sidereal B: "I heard that he's corrupted by the Titans, sleeps with Gremlins, and consorts with the beings in the Wyldstorms. He's just a coot with a bad reputation because he's a curmudgeon."
- Sidereal A: "You're only saying that because you want one of his styles, I've seen the petitions you've been sending out. How do you really feel...?"
