So far, I'm thinking two distinct 'arcs' of Antagonists, with them overlapping at some point. Apostates and Titanics. There will also be political antagonists, but I feel that they won't be FIGHTING with the party so much as bantering.
Contents
Apostates
Main article: Apostates
- Yuu's Vitriolic-tainted Orichalcum 'brother' who needs a name, and a various squad of minibosses and sycophants who hang out with him. He can probably have a bunch of mooks and a core of other Apostates who are more than willing to fight when he doesn't.
- Vitriolic Purifier of Mankind??? I SHALL EAT AWAY THE IMPURE. Also, with the Theion To stuff we discussed, that means he'd be supershiny, so that'd be awesome.
- As for the toadies, I imagine we can pull gremlinized versions of various things mentioned in ecology to save stats. POSSIBLY have a circle of Apostates, one of each caste, but we could probably pass at three recurring ones for this arc.
- Erlik - The most important antagonist of all.
- In addition to these, possibly Ku and his giant smoke dragon.
Abyssals
Main article: Abyssals
Two or three at the most (at the start) all with completely different charms, can easily play up their 'squick' factor because they're playing on things that most people won't expect in a Gunstar game. I was thinking of basing them off of Eye and Seven and Princess, because one is basically 'the dark magnus' and the other can die because someone told a story about her.
Titanics
Main article: Titanics
For these, I'd like to detail their current base of operations per Titanic, any cover identities they may be using, anything of interest about them (fighting style, sorceries, clever charm uses).
The Main Circle
Each of these, I feel, oversee a large part of the Titanics' operation, each time one is killed it should feel like a major victory and have clear consequences.
Roshan - I AM KING/QUEEN
- The leader within the Gunstar, cunning strategist who guides the strikes and exploits flaw.
- His defeat/death results in a loss of cohesion of the army, they become more disorganized and less intimidating.
Faredun - "I have no use for dogs who have forgotten how to kill."
- The general who commands the groups, leading armiers into battles himself.
- His defeat/death results in a loss of valor, as the armies do less damage and more quickly retreat or fold under opposition.
Zirak -The (wo)man with a thousand faces, too dangerous to be on the spiral, too unpredictable to be left on their own. Was immediately left on their own once everyone made it onto the Gunstar.
- Functionally a saboteur, who works all sides. He gathers a lot of personal information in the process.
- His defeat/death results in a loss of information, as they have less internal knowledge to rely on.
Emet - She who brings lightning and wind?
- The scout, able to cover distances like none under. She's also capable of sabotage, drawing attention away from where the main force actually is.
- Her defeat/death results in a loss of intel, as they have slightly less distant information to go on.
Densha - Eat the locusts! YESSSSSSssss
- Recruiter both locally and interdimensionally, gaining worship in the Gunstar and summoning First Circle devas through sand pits.
- Her defeat/death results in a loss of troops, as she heavily facilitates the growth and maintainence of an army force.
Ashna - This is most illogical???
- Sorceror and hacker, able to move through channels neither the Fiend not priestess could.
- Her defeat/death results in a loss of power, as they both lose access to things sorcery easily brought as well as any service from converted animating intelligences.
(The Kimberry) - She really does need a name.
- Given the crap duty of local recon in the newest city under disguise, it's really more just keeping her out of their hair.
- Her death won't directly contribute too much, though it will probably have some minor consequences both within the city and Roshan's reaction.
Others
- Above All Others - The Head Cheese, the biggest boss, the most dangerous.
- Jana - Oh hey we grew another. Way to go team. Quickly helps the heroes in arc 1. And that's it, I'm sure.
- Ona - A girl who manipulates stories as they manipulate her. Who knows where the tangled mess will end up.
- Reli (Qaf) - A prophet among the people.
- Vars (Sacherevell) - A sub-director somewhere in Kamak, who's a ticking timebomb. Tick... tock...
- Elivia (Metagaos) - A plantgirl on the outer hull, will probably fight something like Alien. Also doesn't need to be a chick, I was just going boy/girl in my ideas.
- Rasha (Ascham) - Come play with me, forever and ever and ever.
- Indira (Chsikabel) - Appearance of a billion.
Currently Less Defined
Ones we haven't quite nailed down yet, but are both iconic and can be fun if we do.
- (Cytherea) - As I mentioned, I thought she's(?) focused on creating her own town in the Reaches. This could be threatened by Erlik, it could be threatened by the Shogun of Genocide, or it could just be threatened by her running it.
- (Oramus) - You said you had some ideas? I think I go too off the deep end here.
- (Hegra) - ALL of the drugs. I can iron this one out more if you want. Oh shit we can use Burning Feather???
- Simin - Bromance with Surin? Or they're twins, with Simin being brains, Surin being brawn.
- Surin - All of Corvus', possibly may be a dual boss fight with Simin.
The Least Defined
These might not be used (or statted out, at least), unless we really latch onto something. They all have strong First Excellencies done by Reminiscent Oasis, of course.
- (Jheel-Khan) - 'Whose Laughter Turns the Sky to Blood.' His caste is mountebank. That's about all that's known!
- (Ta'akozoka) - 'The Great Tentacled One,' killed by cutting off water supply, pretty weak!
- (Cemunian) - Created a false Creation that he wanted to replace the original with, which the Unconquered Sun destroyed.
- Reminiscient Oasis also follows the fans and makes a few things that weren't confirmed to be Primordials to be Primordials (the Heart-Frost Unending and the Cavern that Devours Cities), but par the course their Excellencies are par excellence. You're welcome for that sentence.
- Possibly one other fan-made one, like I said I'll look sometime to see if there's another one that's outstanding (among those detailed in Reminiscient Oasis's thread), probably after I finish going through and containing all detailed gods and devas in an expansion of that page.
More forthcoming?
Misc.
Here are some Achsam Charms and...?
